About Nunawading Cricket Club
Since our founding in 1927 (originally as Tunstall Cricket Club), Nunawading Cricket Club has carved out an illustrious history filled with passion, perseverance, and countless memorable moments. From our early days at Silver Grove in Tunstall, which was renamed Nunawading in 1946, to our current home at Mahoneys Rd, Forest Hill, we’ve always been at the heart of the local community.
Our Legacy
Over the decades, we’ve experienced exceptional success, dominating the competition and clinching numerous premierships across all grades. Our First XI, in particular, was the envy of many from 1957 to 1985, often hailed as the best team in the league. We proudly affiliate with the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association, and our story continues to be one of dedication and achievement.
Junior Program – Our Pride and Joy
With over 150 young cricketers donning our iconic purple and gold, our Junior Program is the bedrock of our club. We believe in inclusiveness, professionalism, and fostering a love for the game in a fun and supportive environment. Our club’s principal ethos is that everyone, from the star player in the First XI to the enthusiastic newcomer, deserves the chance to thrive, improve, and enjoy the game both personally and as a team.
Community and Inclusiveness
At Nunawading Cricket Club, we see ourselves as more than a team – we’re a family. Our Junior Program helps nurture children from as young as three, guiding their development from mastering hand-eye coordination to becoming fine young athletes. We understand the importance of being positive role models, creating a nurturing and dynamic environment, and prioritizing opportunity, enjoyment, and continuous growth.
Programs We Offer
