About Nunawading CC

Nunawading Cricket Club was formed in 1927 as Tunstall Cricket Club playing at Silver Grove in Tunstall which became Nunawading in 1946. In 1972 the ground at Silver Grove was required by the council to build a recreation centre and the club moved to its current location at Mahoneys Rd, Forest Hill. We are affiliated with the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association.
Over the years the club has experienced periods of domination over which time we won many premierships in all our grades. Our First XI was arguably the best team in the competition for most of 1957-85.
Our pride and joy is our Junior Program where we have over 150 children of all ages and abilities wearing the purple and gold.
Serving the local cricket community since 1927
We are a large, successful and proud club with a history of inclusiveness, professionalism, community service and fun for children. We pride ourselves on the principal that everyone is equal, no matter whether they are the best player in our First XI or a new player who has never played the game before. Everyone gets an opportunity to participate, have fun, improve and experience success both personally and as a team.
Our Club Is Our Family
Our Junior Program is the cornerstone of our club. We have seen our junior players progress from three year olds who we help develop hand-eye co-ordination and motor skills to fine young men and women who are excelling at their game. We understand the importance of being role models to children, offering a positive group dynamic and a nurturing environment to children and to placing opportunity, fun and continuous improvement in a friendly environment at the top of our priorities.

‘Graduates’ of Blasters move here where real games are played on smaller pitches, smaller boundaries and with less fielders
Girls Cricket
A program specially for girls with two teams and playing spots for girls of all ages and skills. No experience necessary, just a love of the game, a willingness to learn and to have some fun
U12-U18
