I wish I could have brought you better news at this stage, but unfortunately we are in a bit of a holding pattern at the moment in regards to getting back into community sport. We recognise that when we are given the green light for the season to go ahead, we need to be ready to hit the ground running as it will be a severely contracted pre-season. For that reason we encourage everyone to register online. There is still optimism that a full season can be completed.
If you have any concerns or questions about the registration process, please reach out via email (juniors) or phone (0402 260 545).
You can visit the Cricket Victoria website for the most up to date information regarding COVID restrictions and the implications for cricket. Please allow 24 hours following any government announcements for the cricket specific information to be updated.
Given the current environment and uncertainty around so many things due to COVID-19, I want to reiterate our club’s commitment to the local community and providing an opportunity for young people to participate in community sport. Rest assured, the NCC Committee in partnership with the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association will be doing everything we can to get cricket up and running and hope that you will be #Committed2Nuna in 2021/22.
Our ‘Player of the match’ awards will be generously provided by TidBit Cafe, 94 South Parade, Blackburn thanks to Aks Tidiwala and family. Please support local businesses where possible.

Based on current advice from the DHHS we are recommending Cricket Blast Programs start the week of November 5th at the earliest, to ensure our program can run in a COVID-safe environment. This start date gives the ability to run a 8-10 week program with sessions before and after Christmas. Daniel and Claire will get a message out to Blasters families with more information on planning for the NCC Junior Blasters Program when we know more.
We will once again run these sessions at 6-7pm on a Friday night.
Keeping kids active in lockdown
Blasters families can take advantage of the Cricket Blast program – “Anywhere Blast”. This free online program is a great way for Blasters to begin their cricketing journey before transitioning to face to face Club based programs when restrictions allow.
* Apparel *
Nuna apparel can now be ordered using this form to ensure delivery before the start of the season.
We encourage Juniors to order one of our new Nuna ‘Kangas’ top (see above sample) with their own name and number on the back. These polos are great for training and hope to introduce them on match day in future seasons.
Any queries please email apparel.
Juniors playing Seniors
For all Juniors playing Senior cricket this season, we will be asking parents to sign a permission form before playing Senior cricket. This will be compulsory for ALL U18 players who would like to play Senior cricket at Nunawading Cricket Club in Season 2021/22. Please reach out (juniors or 0402 260 545) if you have any queries.
Girls Cricket @ Nuna
