Child Safety at Nunawading Cricket Club
Nunawading Cricket Club is committed to ensuring that everyone at Nunawading, including children and young people, participates in our sport free of abuse, harassment, bullying or any other form of inappropriate conduct. Australian Cricket’s ‘Looking After Our Kids’ policy framework, details cricket’s commitment to safeguarding children and young people, and provides other resources in the safeguarding of children and young people in our sport. Cricket Australia’s approach is also outlined via the following link:
https://www.cricketaustralia.com.au/about/safeguarding/-/media/86AEDE433E964042BE7AFB3ECEA3E2D5.ashx

Nunawading Cricket Club has two Child Safety Officers, namely:· Luisa Mackie 0408 368 968
· Brad Gant 0402 267 439

Both Luisa and Brad are long standing members of the Nunawading Cricket Club Community, have three children each – and also are in professions which demand the highest level of integrity and provide support to the broader community.

As part of our commitment to Child Safety – all of our coaches and team managers are currently going through a certification process and all have current Working-With-Children checks. The club committee and junior coaches will work and monitor diligently to ensure no Child Abuse, Bullying, Harassment, Grooming or neglect that relates to a Child or Young Person takes place in our club.

If you have any concerns, please reach out to our Child Safety Officers, myself (0402 260 545) or Club President, Dave Cowell (0438 569 822).
